On the occasion of the Week of the Italian Language in the World join the Dante Society of BC & Istituto Italiano di Cultura Toronto for a journey into contemporary Italian in search of new words and expressions, including those that reveal the changed relationship between language, sex and gender. Valerio Zingarini analyzes how the declension of certain words can change their final meaning, often affecting the reality they indicate.
The speaker, Valerio Zangarini, graduated in Anthropological Sciences and Ethnology at the University of Bologna. He is an L2 Italian teacher and a social and educational researcher. He has overseen European socio-educational projects and is a trainer of LS / L2 language facilitators for the organization AUSER CULTURA and Third Sector - Lifelong Learning (FQTS).
