In this presentation, Prof. Luca Cottini will explore the Italian idea of technique as a collective "art of doing" & as a synthesis of a cultural mindset - from Leonardo da Vinci to the present.

Dr. Luca Cottini is Associate Professor of Italian Studies at Villanova University and the host/creator of the YouTube show Italian Innovators. Both a literary scholar and a cultural historian, his research focuses on Italian literature and industrial culture of the 19th and 20th centuries. His two books examine the works of Italo Calvino (Longo, 2017) and the birth of industrial design in Italy (UTP, 2018).
